Why did you join NAWIC: I wanted to connect with other women in the construction industry. As well as for education. To promote and help educate women in the construction industry.

Fun fact about yourself that is your go-to “Party Story”: I got caught in a storm on a 14,000’ peak in So Cal once and hiked above lightning. While aspects were cool, I do not recommend doing that.

Why did you join NAWIC: Years ago, I heard about the NAWIC San Diego Chapter through a co-worker and all the really cool programs that were offered, so when my employer asked if I wanted to join, I jumped on the chance. I really just wanted to help an organization that supports the industry.

What are you looking forward to most in the 2022-2023 NAWIC Year? I’m looking forward to having a more active role in the operations of the chapter.

Fun fact about yourself that is your go-to “Party Story”: When I fly, I always bring the flight crew a goodie bag of snacks. It puts them in a good mood and they’re more willing to give you complementary stuff.

What do you like most about being a WIC (Woman in Construction)? I really enjoy seeing an increase in women joining and thriving in the industry. It’s an industry where women are supporting each other through groups like NAWIC and others to ensure there is a place for us all at the table.
