Isabel Marocco, President- Elect
Isabel Marocco is the CFO and Vice President for Casper Company, a local family owned and operated demolition sub-contractor.

Isabel completed 25 years with Casper in July.  She currently hold the position of CFO and Vice President.  The majority portion of her day involves assisting the administrative personnel with the day to day operations.  In between she squeezes in the financials and decision making with the other owners in steering the direction of the company.

She landed in the construction industry quite by chance.  She worked for a local drywall sub-contractor for 3 years, when she was laid off by this employer she was lucky enough to be hired by the then up and coming Casper Company in 1991. She has held nearly every office position in the company and overseeing the traditional office staff as CFO/Controller, and Operations Manager.  However the greatest honor she has had with Casper was in 2008 when she was given the chance to become an owner in the company.

Her passion is her family.  She comes from a family of 10, where she is the second to the youngest.  But her greatest love is her husband Steve of 20 years and their children, Gabriel who is 26 and Theresa who is 19.

Tru-Duct, Inc. was established in 2001 and she began working as the Office Manager in 2003. Over the years, she has worn many hats, including, Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, Compliance and much more. Mary Roscoe, Corresponding Secretary
Mary Roscoe is the Senior Business Development Manager for Symmons Industries.

She began in the construction industry in 1980 with A.O. Reed & Company. She was the purchasing and estimating assistant for 3 years and at that point had no idea what she wanted to “be” when she grew up!  During this time at A.O. Reed – she met and married Bob, her husband of now 34 years!  They have 3 children, Brenden is their son 33; Taryn is their daughter 32; and Justin is their son 30.

She took some time off when they were very young and then started at Liberty Equipment and Supply in 1986 and went into outside sales for the flexibility it provided to a young mother and wife.  She still didn’t know what she would “be” when she grew up.  She worked her way up to “Branch Manager” and then shortly thereafter Liberty was purchased by Ferguson.  She then accepted a job with a plumbing drain manufacturer Josam and was there for a couple of years – Ferguson talked her into coming aboard as a Branch Manager and she soon realized this wasn’t what she wanted to “be” as a grown up!

She then accepted a position with Mega Western, a “Manufacturer rep. agency” and learned about faucets and shower valves among other products – with this knowledge she accepted a position nearly 10 years ago with Symmons – she finally now realize this is “where and what” she wants to be as a grown up!

She now has 7 grandchildren; 4 from Brenden and Danielle, Mikayla 13, Brennalyn 8, Giyanna 5 and Bryden 2.  Taryn and Patrick have blessed her with 2 granddaughters Camryn 3 and Aubrey 1 and Justin and Alyssa have blessed her with another granddaughter Olivia born in September of 2016.

Her NAWIC journey started at Liberty Equipment but she didn’t appreciate all that NAWIC had to offer at that point in her career.  Thinking back she now believes she was too busy with babies, school and running a household to entertain what the NAWIC opportunity could offer not only in her career but in her life path.  She is blessed to have given this wonderful group another opportunity to join, learn, grow and support.  As with NAWIC you will only get out of it what you put into it.  There are lessons to be learned, friends to be made and opportunities to be had!  She is proud to be associated with such a fine organization of professional women!

She also belongs to and holds board member positions with ASPE – American Society of Plumbing Engineers and the BIA – Building Industry of America, San Diego chapters.

In her spare time she loves the river, riding on the Harley, hiking, and being outside with her grandbabies!

Marie Moulton Phillipp, Director
Marie Moulton Phillipp is a solar PV and energy management consultant with Solar PV Energy Solutions, working on design-build solar project development with California contractors.

Marie moved to San Diego in 2004, and has been involved with business to business sales and the Solar PV (photovoltaic) industry in the region.  She works as a solar consultant in both the commercial and residential markets, helping clients navigate through the ever-changing market conditions involved with this fast-growing industry.

Marie focuses on design-build solar and energy storage projects, putting together optimized solutions to meet the needs of clients within their unique site conditions and financial objectives.  She has worked with well-established solar installers, most recently Independent Energy Solutions, and witnessed the downfall of these and other long-standing companies. She now actively works with multiple installers and organizations to offer clients the best company fit for their projects through Solar PV Energy Solutions.  Now a veteran of the local solar industry, Marie is still passionate about her work, from the technical to the financial details, and understanding the needs of her clients.

Marie is married to Tom Phillipp, they are parents to four children, and the whole family has an affinity for the water.  The family’s free time is spent scuba diving, swimming, surfing, playing water polo, beach volleyball, riding bikes and enjoying days at the beach.  Trips back to Minnesota still hold waterskiing and snow-skiing to round out the seasons, and evenings in the sauna with a jump into the lake or a roll in the snow.  In Marie’s world water and electricity do mix under the heading of fun under the sun while balancing work with play!

When Marie met Anita Barnes from NAWIC in 2011 she immediately jumped in by participating as a sponsor in the now-annual Golf Tournament, and has been hooked ever since.  She enjoys the opportunity to network and participate in activities with other women in the construction industry, and build friendships in the community.  Participating in NAWIC has fostered friendships that keep Marie involved and wanting to do more.
